Paul Simms - Art Director

Paul has been creating Artwork in various guises for over 30 years. Starting his career locally with D.C. Thompsons who are the publisher of such titles as The Beano and The Dandy and of course The Commando comics. He also worked freelance for a number of years producing artwork for a huge variety of publications.

Entering the Games industry roughly 13 years ago, his first employer was a Dundee based company called Vis Interactive. Paul worked as a concept and character artist on titles such as Hedz, Earthworm Jim 3D, State of Emergency, Brave, Tom and Jerry War of the Whiskers and N.A.R.C.

Wishing to move into next generation titles, Paul joined Realtime Worlds in 2003 to work on Crackdown joining pre production team. Over the next 4 years he created all the gang and npc characters and DLC Agents. He also spent some time working on their new release APB and the last year on an undisclosed title.

The Crackdown development team won 2 BAFTA’s and Paul was very proud to be a part of it.

After almost 6 years Paul has left Realtime and joined Ruffian Games as their Art Director.
